Department of Chemistry
The Department of Chemistry at Bacha Khan University Charsadda (BKUC) was established in September 2011, initially as a constituent campus of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan. Following the establishment of Bacha Khan University Charsadda as an independent public-sector university in July 2012, the department became one of its founding academic departments. The department commenced its academic journey with the M.Sc. Chemistry program and has since evolved into a leading center for higher education and research in chemical sciences. In 2014, the department expanded its academic portfolio by introducing MS/M.Phil. and Ph.D. programs, reflecting its commitment to advanced teaching and research. Currently, the department offers BS, M.Sc., MS/M.Phil., and Ph.D. degree programs in various disciplines of chemistry, catering to the academic and research needs of undergraduate and postgraduate students. The Department of Chemistry is dedicated to excellence in teaching, research, and innovation. It possesses well-established teaching and research laboratories equipped with modern analytical instrumentation to support high-quality education and cutting-edge scientific research. The department actively promotes interdisciplinary research, industry–academia collaboration, and innovation to address contemporary scientific and societal challenges. Department of Geology
The Department of Geology, established in 2012, is dedicated to fostering a research- and education-driven technical society aimed at advancing the nation's capacity for understanding, discovering, and sustainably utilizing earth resources. The department emphasizes comprehensive study and assessment of the Earth's four major spheres: the lithosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere, and ionosphere. It is supported by a distinguished faculty with expertise across these domains. The department also boasts a state-of-the-art collection of laboratories and geophysical instruments, positioning it among the leading institutions in the country for earth resource exploration. Ultimately, the department seeks to make meaningful contributions toward the achievement of sustainable development goals.

Institute of Biotechnology and Microbiology
The Institute of Biotechnology & Microbiology (IBM) at Bacha Khan University Charsadda is committed to excellence in teaching, research, and innovation in the fields of biotechnology and microbiology. Since its establishment, the Institute has been dedicated to producing highly skilled graduates capable of addressing contemporary challenges in healthcare, agriculture, environmental sustainability, industrial biotechnology, and scientific research. The Institute offers undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs designed to provide students with a strong theoretical foundation complemented by practical laboratory training and research experience.
