About the Department

The Pakhtunkhwa Study Centre is the first centre of Bacha Khan University, Charsadda. It was established on 2013. In the beginning the centre were offered two programs i.e. MA Pashto and Mphil Pashto. The centre started PhD Pashto from Fall 2018, BS Pashto from Fall 2021 and also started another discipline like BS Urdu in 2023. The department has developed different committees and the directors has assigned them different tasks. There are BOS, GSC, Admission Committee, Examination Committee, Research Evaluation Committee, Cocurricular Activities Committee, Time Table Committee and Literary Committee. There is sufficient clerical staff in this centre. It is comprised of one LDC, one Computer Operator and one Peon/Naib Qasid. A proper check and balance is kept by the director of the centre. Weekly proformas are designed for all the faculty members in order to check whether the teachers perform their duties on regular basis or not. These proformas are submitted in the office of the chairman on last working day of the week. Feedback is taken from students in this regard

Our Mission

Mission of PSC: Endorsement and promotion of Pakhtunkhwa languages through research while exploring the contribution of previous and contemporary thinkers and contributors in the relevant field. It is also aimed to demonstrate the original structure and culture of Pakhtunkhwa people to the outer world and to remove all sorts of misconceptions and ambiguities about Pakhtunkhwa people through presenting original socio – cultural values in academic environment.
